June 1998 saw the first
International Consultation on Incontinence, organised by the
ICS and the International Consultation on Urological
Diseases (ICUD) and sponsored by the World Health
Organisation. Twenty-three committees of 8 members each
produced consensus reports covering all aspects of urinary
incontinence from basic science and investigation and
treatment to provision of continence services and education.
The full document with all the reports will be published by
the end of 1998 and will provide the most comprehensive
reference work on current knowledge, research and expert
opinion about urinary incontinence.
