AUSTRALIANS WIN FIRST ICS CONTINENCE PROMOTION AWARD

The Continence Promotion Committee of the International Continence Society are pleased to announce the results of their first ever Award, generously funded by UroMed. There were many excellent entries from all corners of the globe. The Committee took the opportunity of the Prevention Conference (reported below) to assemble a truly international judging panel - eight judges from six countries! The majority of judges (six out of eight) decided that the winner should be the Continence Foundation of Australia for its comprehensive package of educational materials for professionals and public.

Runner-up was the Continence Foundation (UK) for its public awareness day campaign, the “National Pelvic Floorathon”. Also highly commended was the GIH (Germany) with its highly professional full-colour newsletter for the public.

The winners receive one all-expenses-paid place at the ICS meeting in Japan, courtesy of UroMed. It is hoped to make the Award an annual event - so get thinking now if you want to win a place at the ICS meeting in Jerusalem in 1998!
